Six Months

Today is six months I have been dating my boy, and today when I came back from a haircut I found these on my bed.

They’re lovely aren’t they?

And off personal topics–want to know what else is lovely? This “Retro Camera” App for my phone. I love it. It does such wonderful things to colours.

I just noticed in the back of the photo you can see t-rex.

Soo rather alot I think

I have rather alot to catch up on, so I’ll list them here quick so I don’t forget later:

  • cloud gazing
  • comic books
  • work and the people I meet

First off I and a friend took a day trip to Minneapolis. Since it was quite a drive my friend and became rather silly and began (though it was not hard) to see shapes in the clouds.

L-Man runs across the sky!

Look at me and tell me this doesn't look like link. No I will not provide an in-page comparison, do it yourself. Google is awesome like that.

This cloud looked so much like a Unicorn that I just had to draw it in.

It's a mushroom...which leads to my next picture.

And...this is what I really imagined the entire time.

So now onto comic books! My friend introduced me to Big Brain up in Minneapolis. BEST SHOP EVER. Okay, maybe not the best ever. But they had Doom Quest and that’s all I ask.

Possibly the most ridiculous idea ever. Now with added swords.

When I finish it I’ll post my review. I don’t know what I’m expecting. Complete hilarity I think.

Now…onto…WORK.

We had a monster truck come in the other day. Of course it was something I had to deal with. Actually. I’m too short, I had to pass it on to my supervisor, who is waaay taller. This is them:

As taken by my phone. We had a lot of ridiculous things that day. That morning? We had a thunderstorm come through. What was the Zoo’s response? They gave us ponchos and told us to stand under the tree. AWESOME IDEA FOR LIGHTNING RIGHT?

But I do like working closer to the people. The entire Zoo gets behind LSU each year they come. We do this because they are the NICEST people. Really, they’re always polite, they never complain, and they feed us. We love them. And this year, despite LSU not making it they are coming anyway! I asked one LSU fan about it, and he said this:

Me: “I’m sad that LSU didn’t make it this year”
Him: “Yeah but we got to give other people a chance. I’m gonna root for Texas Christian. We’re just gonna enjoy the last year at Rosenblatt”

Hot Damn. Nice people, I tell you what.

A Forest with a Dog

"STICK"

I just took my dog to explore Swanson “Forest” it’s really just a little woods, but it’s fun none the less. He had alot of fun sniffing deer poop and whatever else fascinates him. I let him run around with out his leash since we seemed to be alone. I’m sure the pics of the forest will be up soon, but as I set out to take pictures of the fauna I ended up taking a shitton of pictures of my dog. Usually he is camera shy so these are some of the first real pictures of him for my family. He’s our poor poor stupid baby, and we couldn’t love him more.

I went to my high school’s (I just got done with my first year of college) Pop’s Concert. It was strange to see how much had changed, and it makes me wonder if I changed of if the school did. It seems smaller for one, and everybody is so much older, the Band has changed so much, the kiddies I brought up are now the leaders, it’s so weird. I went with an old friend though, and it was funny that even though we changed so much (I feel anyway) we still get along so well. We danced to the “Time Warp” when the Chorus Sang it–my brother beside me nearly died of embarrassment “Get down Elizabeth Get DOWN!” I could feel the heat of his red cheeks hahaha–and told dead baby jokes after the show. Then we talked with old teachers and ended up singing “In the Jungle the Lion Sleeps” at the top of our lungs with people we don’t even know. It was hilarious. What an awesome way to start my summer.
